Who is responsible

MyFavoritePlay is the controller for information collected on this website. Privacy requests can be sent to info@myfavoriteplay.com.

What we collect

We collect only the account information needed to operate the service: email address, username, display name, password credentials handled by Supabase, country/currency choice, profile text and uploaded profile media. When you use community features we also store your saved games, favourites, game status, reviews, review visibility, friendships, XP, coins, rank and moderation state. Basic security logs such as IP address, device and request time may be processed by our hosting and authentication providers to prevent abuse.

Why we use it

• To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
• To sync your profile, library, friendships and reviews.
• To calculate rewards and ranks and moderate harmful or fraudulent activity.
• To respond when you contact us and meet legal obligations.

These uses rely on performing the service you request, our legitimate interests in security and community integrity, your consent where the law requires it, and legal obligations.

Visibility and sharing

Profiles can be public or private. Reviews can be public or limited to accepted friends. A friends-only review is never intentionally included in public ratings or feeds. We use Supabase for authentication and database services and Cloudflare for hosting and security. If you consent, Google Analytics processes usage information such as page views, device/browser details and approximate location to help us improve the service. Analytics remains off until you choose to allow it. Links to game stores open third-party websites governed by their own policies. With separate marketing consent, Meta Pixel sends page visits and successful new account registration events to Meta to evaluate our Facebook and Instagram ads. Meta may process page URLs, IP addresses, browser/device details and cookie identifiers under its own privacy policy. Marketing tracking remains off until you allow it, and you can withdraw permission in Cookie preferences. Our explicit pixel events do not include email addresses, passwords or account form fields. We do not sell personal data.

Retention and security

Account data is kept while your account is active. Contact messages stay in your own email app until sent and are retained only as long as needed to answer the request. Backups and security logs may remain for a limited period. Access controls, row-level security, server-only administrative keys and encrypted transport are used to reduce risk, but no online service can promise absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You can edit your profile and visibility settings at any time. Depending on where you live, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. Email us from the address linked to your account so we can verify the request.

Children

MyFavoritePlay accounts are not intended for children under 16. If a parent or guardian believes a child provided personal data without valid permission, contact us so it can be reviewed and removed.

Optional device shortlist

When you choose “Keep on this device”, game IDs are saved in this browser so you can reopen those games from the homepage. Nothing is saved to this shortlist automatically. It is separate from account favorites and remains until you remove games, clear the shortlist or clear browser site data. Anyone using the same browser may see it. If you allow analytics, collection clicks and shortlist actions may be measured using public game or collection IDs; these events do not include account details or free-text searches.

Changes

Material changes will be dated on this page and, where appropriate, announced in the service.
