Choosing a Game: Useful Details and Gaps on MyFavoritePlay
A transparent audit of 21 MyFavoritePlay game pages: what platforms, gameplay, multiplayer and Fortnite codes reveal, what remains unclear, and the full CSV.
The short answer
The inspected MyFavoritePlay pages consistently provide a platform label, genre and official destination, but depth varies. In a fixed sample of 21 public pages, 12 make an explicit solo or multiplayer statement, four show a source-check date, and one of three Fortnite pages displays a map code. Client-loaded reviews and live prices could not be fully assessed from the retrieved text.
Why the missing details matter when you choose a game
A cover and a genre can put a game on your shortlist. They do not settle whether it runs on your device, supports your group or requires a separate purchase. A discovery page is useful when it helps you identify both what is stated and what still needs confirmation. That is the problem this audit examines.
Our question was deliberately narrow: which information is publicly available on MyFavoritePlay to discover and compare games, and which decision-relevant details are missing or unconfirmed? We studied the information presented on this platform. We did not ask whether MyFavoritePlay is better than another service or whether its users make better choices.
This study was conducted for and published by MyFavoritePlay, the platform being inspected. MyFavoritePlay is the responsible organisation. AI-assisted retrieval, source inspection, coding and drafting were used. This is not independent journalism or an externally peer-reviewed study, and the observations should be read with that relationship in mind.
Method: a fixed sample, declared before collection
The protocol was recorded on 19 October 2026 before selecting and retrieving the game pages. It specified the question, candidate frame, exclusion rules, selection algorithm, measurement fields and analysis. The candidate frame was the bundled catalogue in deployed source commit a1719478b5ebfdba8f7e54c87376ce2803ed9ccb. It is reproducible, but it does not enumerate every possible database-only live addition.
We deduplicated stable game IDs and excluded casino information records and entries without a classifiable gaming platform. The resulting eligible frame contained 428 records. That number describes the sampling frame, not platform growth or audience activity. Separate records for different editions or mobile versions remained separate units.
Records were assigned to seven disjoint groups. Roblox, Fortnite and Mobile kinds took priority; remaining records were assigned using their listed devices in the order Nintendo, Xbox, PlayStation, PC. This assignment is only a sampling rule. An entry assigned to Nintendo can also list other platforms, and it is not being described as an exclusive.
Within each group we sorted stable IDs by SHA-256 hash and selected the first three: 21 pages altogether. This produces a deterministic sample without choosing well-written pages after inspection. Equal group sizes are not proportional to the catalogue, so the combined results must not be treated as an estimate for every MyFavoritePlay page.
We retrieved signed-out public text on 19 October 2026. Initial direct retrieval attempts failed; the same selected URLs were then successfully retrieved through the public alphabetical directory. No selected game was replaced. We retained retrieval text, references, a row-level table, the frame and the protocol. Each selected page had a sufficiently complete retrieved representation to code the specified fields.
What counts as information in this audit?
Present means visible in the retrieved text. It does not mean independently correct. For descriptions we distinguished a summary of game activity from a navigation-only placeholder. For multiplayer we used three categories: an explicit mode statement, generic online guidance, or an explicit statement that support was unconfirmed. A general warning to check a store was not treated as confirmation.
An official destination counted when a game or platform link was visible. The CSV records its observed domain and the corresponding configured URL from the deployed source; the domain was corroborated in the page text. We did not follow and validate every exact destination. A price or free-entry statement had to refer to that game’s base access. Pack promotions, free avatar try-ons and optional currency did not count.
We recorded review interfaces separately from evidence of published reviews. A loading message was coded as not assessed, not as zero reviews. Fortnite map codes had to appear explicitly as a four-four-four digit code. Missing information means it was not observed on MyFavoritePlay in this representation; it does not mean that a game lacks the feature.
The findings: a consistent outline, uneven depth
All 21 inspected pages exposed a platform label, a genre and an official destination domain. Twenty had a summary beyond a navigation-only placeholder. These fields provide an initial outline of the entry. They do not establish complete platform coverage, correct editions or the accuracy of every gameplay statement.
The clearest contrast was depth. The Deep Dish Dungeon page describes dungeon exploration and an explicit solo or cooperative option. The LEGO Horizon Adventures record instead uses a short prompt to explore the game on PlayStation and consult the official listing. Its developer and publisher fields also direct readers elsewhere. Counting both pages as equally complete would hide a useful distinction.
Even a non-placeholder summary can remain broad. Blade Ball’s inspected text mentions choosing abilities, fighting and progression without much detail about its defining play loop. Our descriptive count is therefore not a writing-quality score. It records a limited observable criterion and leaves the reader able to inspect the examples.
| Field | Observed | Interpretation |
|---|---|---|
| Platform label | 21/21 | Not a complete device or edition verification |
| Genre | 21/21 | A catalogue label, not a quality rating |
| Summary beyond a navigation-only placeholder | 20/21 | Does not measure writing quality |
| Official destination domain | 21/21 | Configured target domain corroborated; destination not independently tested |
| Explicit solo/multiplayer statement | 12/21 | A statement on the page, not independently verified gameplay |
| Visible source-check date | 4/21 | Dated 15 October 2026 |
| Game-specific price/free-access statement | 1/21 | One free-access statement; dynamic prices not assessed |
| Fortnite map code | 1/3 | Fortnite subgroup only |
| Published reviews | Not assessed | Client-loaded sections remained at a loading state |

Multiplayer: twelve explicit statements, nine unresolved answers
Twelve sampled pages make an explicit statement about a solo or multiplayer mode. Five provide generic online guidance, and four state that multiplayer support is not confirmed. These are observations about the wording of the pages, not a validation of game functionality.
FBC: Firebreak names three-player online co-op and refers to cross-platform multiplayer. ASTRONEER mentions four-player online co-op in its summary. By contrast, Hogwarts Legacy’s multiplayer answer says the current catalogue does not confirm support. That last observation must not be rewritten as a finding that the game has multiplayer, or that it lacks single-player content.
The five generic online passages occur in the three sampled Roblox records and two of the Fortnite records. They tell readers that friend access and party sizes can vary. For a group deciding what to play together, that leaves the exact party size, private-session arrangements or device compatibility to be checked with the official platform.
Fortnite codes and costs need separate checks
One of the three Fortnite pages, PILLARS, displays an island code: 7786-0958-2481. It also provides instructions for entering the code in Discover. BOX PVP and WORLD ZONE WARS 3 did not expose a code in the retrieved text, even though their gameplay guidance refers to using a published map code. This is a specific gap worth addressing.
Only the PILLARS page provided a game-specific free-access statement meeting our definition. The other twenty pages did not expose a current base-game amount or specific free-entry statement in the text we coded. Shared references to free Creative maps and optional currency were excluded. This does not mean that those games cost money or that dynamic price checks elsewhere on the site are absent.
Catalog Avatar Creator illustrates the distinction: the summary mentions trying avatar items for free, which is not the same claim as a confirmed entry-price statement. Our coding deliberately avoids treating a nearby use of the word free as a complete answer to what the player must pay.
Dates help; a loading state cannot establish community opinion
Four sampled pages include a source-check date: the three PC-group records and PILLARS. Their notes expose a checked-on date of 15 October 2026. Most inspected pages have an official destination without a visible dated source note. A dated note does not certify accuracy, but it lets readers distinguish a historical check from a live assertion.
All 21 retrieved review sections remained at a loading state. We therefore did not count reviews, calculate average ratings or infer whether public reviews exist for those games. Static retrieval is an incomplete view of client-loaded content. This limitation is part of the result, not a reason to insert a favourable or unfavourable review statistic.
What gamers can do with these findings
Use MyFavoritePlay to identify candidates, then carry unresolved questions into the official listing. For multiplayer, look for an explicit mode and check the particular cross-play combination you need. For Roblox, verify the linked experience and creator. For Fortnite, use a displayed code when available and do not copy one from a similarly named island.
Before paying, confirm base game versus add-on, platform, edition, region, currency and activation requirements. An empty price field is uncertainty rather than a zero price. A loading review section is uncertainty rather than community approval. Those simple distinctions keep the decision tied to evidence instead of the page’s visual polish.
What MyFavoritePlay should improve next
The findings suggest focused editorial work: replace navigation-only descriptions with sourced gameplay summaries; verify specific solo and multiplayer modes; complete Fortnite identifiers; and attach visible source dates to confirmed facts. These are recommendations from the audit, not changes that this publication claims to have completed.
Platform lists should also distinguish an ecosystem such as Roblox from supported devices and specific editions. Public pages could explain unresolved review and price states more clearly to text-only readers. A later audit can repeat the frozen selection and show which fields changed, rather than swapping in more complete records to create a better-looking result.
Limitations and update policy
This is a small, disproportionate deterministic sample drawn from a source-defined frame, not a random sample of the games market. Database-only records can be outside that frame. Results concern public text retrieved on one day, not every device, logged-in view or runtime state. Link targets, purchases, game accuracy and accessibility were not exhaustively validated.
Coding used text rules checked against the retrieved passages; there was no independent second coder. No gamers were recruited. We measured no preferences, time savings, satisfaction, retention or improvement in discovery. No competitor was studied using the same method, and no statistical significance claim is made. The observed gaps cannot support conclusions about what gamers want or which platform performs best.
The dated evidence files remain available with this article. Corrections should identify the affected row and reason. Future comparisons should retain the original frame and selection, publish a newly dated observation file and explain any method changes. An update is triggered by a substantive recheck; there is no claim that this dataset refreshes automatically.
Sources and access to the observations
The underlying table links every sampled game page and records its check date, coding, evidence excerpt and retrieval file. The public frame exposes each stable ID, stratum, selection hash and selection flag. The protocol and generation scripts explain how the sample and summaries were produced. Raw retrieval records include unsuccessful first attempts as well as successful observations.
Use the observation CSV for your own checks and the JSON files for the recorded evidence. The charts below are generated from those rows, not from visitor or business statistics. No external research has been blended into these findings, and the study makes no promise of search rankings or recommendations by Google or AI systems.
